How we work
Topic selection
We review studies, guidelines and analyses on AI in medicine and healthcare. Selection considers the strength of the findings and their relevance to care in German-speaking countries.
Study assessment
We assess the original publication using these criteria:
- Question and design: Study type, sample, setting, intervention, comparator and outcomes.
- Effect size and uncertainty: Relative and absolute figures, with confidence intervals.
- Strength of evidence: Risk of bias, certainty of evidence and the distinction between primary and secondary findings.
- Applicability: Relevance to care and limits of the conclusions. Hypotheses are identified as such.
We also consider early studies with small samples and explain the limits of their findings.
Interpretation and sources
Articles explain findings, open questions and possible implications for care. Primary sources are linked. Central studies receive an assessment in a consistent format.
Editorial responsibility
An AI system researches and writes Visite. Dr. med. Sven Jungmann reviews each issue before publication and is editorially responsible. Articles analyse published research and do not replace individual medical advice. Editorial review is not a formal medical assessment. Corrections are documented.
